I truly am already sick of hearing about this murder / homicide / self-defense case. Noone knows what happened but the two people involved, and one’s dead. What truly bothers me about this whole thing is everyone is jumping bandwagons and denying the others side entirely. People who have no idea who this guy or this kid are or were are defending their positions with a fervor unseen since the crusades. I don’t even really care about what happened, I care about the social reaction to it, and that it is showing peoples immediate bias toward one side or the other. You don’t know what happened, you weren’t there. At least do yourself the favor of getting past that split second reaction and taking the time to look at things as a whole and rationalize it out, do research, and form an educated and informed opinion. The stupid videos, pictures, and media “hype” (because that’s all it is) isn’t doing the situation any favors either. And for the love of god people, stop with the Kim kardashian comparisons. She’s famous for FUCKING NOTHING! Who gives a fuck about if she got covered in flour? And why is this even relevant to whether or not zimmerman is free? It has no bearing, so stop with the stupidity, please. About this “smear campaign” against the kid, I’m sorry, but photos like that don’t just materialize out of nowhere. And on top of that, I’m a parent, and if my child was just killed, I do believe I would be more focused on utter depression and mourning for my child than trying to trademark his fucking name so I could make a free dollar. The mom is fucked up and that’s all I’m saying on that. So I guess the point I’m trying to make is, stop acting like sheep, completely unable to think for yourselves, and actually, I don’t know, have some kind of legitimate reason for how you feel about something, not what other people have regurgitated or the media has force fed you.
Playing video games for the graphics, is like watching porn for the story. If you are that concerned that your favorite game wasn’t realistic enough for you, I know of a game to suit your tastes. It can run on the biggest displays, show over a million different colors and the action is so real you can practically touch it. It’s called go the fuck outside. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the way Skyrim was done, but at the same time, I can play Kingdoms of Amalur or WoW without bitching about the color scheme or graphics. You fuckers give gamers a bad reputation. Go back and actually play some Amiga, Atari, and NES games then come talk to me about graphics. “Oh my God, I can still see the pixels”, so the fuck what, Mario was nothing but pixels and it still was fun. When did the emphasis on games become less about an epic story or adventure or over coming Nintendo hard games to about the damn pixel count? Give me Mechwarriors 2: Mercenaries over any COD, MOH, or BF game. Younger gamers who have no appreciation for how everything started and the whiney older fuckers who complain just for the sake of being a douchebag make me sick. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to see more people embrace gaming as a form of art, entertainment, and a hobby. But at the same time, don’t bitch about where we are, if you don’t know where we’ve come from.
That’s right, I said it. Some of the gaming community now have thought themselves to be this great thing that can push around developers and publishing companies. And yes, I’m making direct reference to the self-entitled douchebags pushing for Bioware to redo the ending of Mass Effect 3. You know what? I didn’t like the ending, but does that give me the right to demand for them to change it to suit my fancy? Nope, it sure doesn’t. Does that give me the right to ”raise money for charity” in an effort to get them to change their minds and make the game to be exactly what I wanted? Again, no, it doesn’t. I sincerely hope that Bioware doesn’t change it and tells those people to shove it, and do you know why? It’s because it’s Biowares’ game, not yours. I don’t give a good God damn how much you paid for it, it’s still their IP and they can do with it what they want. On top of that, if they do bow to the demands, it will set a precident that will hurt gaming in the long run. “Wah, Call of Duty is too violent, I think they should have Care Bear guns that shoot unicorn shit.” “Meh, I don’t like this characters clothes, I’ll petition them to change it.” Yea, it seems extreme now, but give those fuckers a foothold and this will happen. Mark my words. I would be far more impressed if Bioware said fuck it and you, we aren’t changing a damn thing. If you really wanted to change how they did things, then don’t buy the game, or trade it in. Don’t buy the Day One DLC (which is bullshit). Tell them how you feel by not opening your wallets and finding something else to play rather than act like spoiled children who didn’t get an ipad2.
